Sunnyside Energy Oasis
We at ET Squared are focused in on how to change the current systems required when building developments. Developments must be sustainable for the life of the dwelling and neighborhood in which it resides. The Energy Oasis Model can easily be replicated anywhere in the world. The design phase is critical when joining systems together while creating a net-zero development. Each development site is different, being able to chose the best systems for that specific site is what we are implementing.
Through smart design and planning we can have a better balance between man and nature which is sustainable and profitable, with Colorado as the hub for efforts in developing technologies and markets with clean technology solutions in the New Energy Economy.
For Many years I have worked closely with a couple of other Colorado clean-tech innovators; waste water engineer Gary Matzen and architect John Gagnon – as a team we have laid the foundation of the Sunnyside Energy Oasis.
On October 14, 2016 Gary was tragically killed by a hit-n-run drunk driver. We are currently testing the anaerobic digester prototype at the Boulder Waste Water Facility proving the patents and technologies reliable.

The Energy Oasis model locates high-density, live-work-play building – integrating “vertical farms” – creating urban corridors along the mass transit system. the services and systems of the Energy Oasis model are highly interconnected, with the intent to optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and 21st century livability, inside the constraints of the modern city while reducing the use of automobiles, fossil fuels and water.
ET Squared has also teamed with RavenBrick LLC and their material science technology for the building’s exterior. Please visit our Alternative Energies page».
The Energy Oasis building is a solar collector. Our copy written design is nautilus shaped to improve various alternative energy systems that are incorporated into the building’s exterior wall and roof systems for better efficiency as we rotate around the Sun.
Smart design during the planning phase of the building, incorporating alternative energy systems with garden roof systems, harvesting energy from the natural resources: sun, water, wind, reducing the volume of waste by turning waste into energy to run the buildings utility systems is what we are trying to achieve.
Very simply, the Sunnyside Energy Oasis model proposes to redesign cities around its’ mass transit system while building Zero Energy districts or (ZED’s) which mitigate human beings impacting Climate Change.
